Donna Leon (natural September 29, 1942) is an American author of a series of crime novels set around Venice and featuring the made-up hero Commissario Guido Brunetti.

Donnthe Leon has sleep inside Venice for twenty years, in which she worked foremost as a Prof of English Literature for the University of Maryl& in Italy, so as a Prof and a writer. Setting

Venice's head of law, Vice-questore Patta service when a vain & ignorant buffo, spell Sergente Vianello & a ever-caring & back testing Signorina Elettra, Patta's secretary, are given when sidekicks to Brunetti.

Critics say that Donna Leon depicts a cliché-laden Italy the way liberal bohemians would love to see.
